Fine Art Print "Taughannock Falls" snow globe is part of a series of digital paintings created for Jehane's Twelve Days of Christmas 2024 online challenge.

The Taughannock Falls waterfall is located on beautiful Cayuga Lake near Ithaca New York. It "plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. Gorge and rim trails offer spectacular views from above the falls and from below at the end of the gorge trail." (parks.ny.gov) I grew up just a few miles from the Taughannock Falls State Park and my husband and I were married at the overlook, so it's a very special place to me! This painting depicts the view from the overlook and you can see the turkey vultures flying high above the creek that runs through the gorge.
